We Made it on the Slow Flowers podcast, episode 347! #flowersandbeer

I'm so excited to share that I was interviewed to be on the Slow Flowers podcast on May 2, 2018. (listen here) Our new Flower-bar-in-the-Beer-Bar (Peninsula Taproom) is the topic of conversation. The flower bar is open as of late Spring 2018 and we are excited to be here in Sequim as part of the wonderful local economy.

Please have a listen to this episode as Debra and I talk about this "business-inside-a-business" amongst other things. A few of the other topics we discuss are: the importance of giving back to community, being a vertical business and starting a farm. We like to use the hash tag #flowersandbeer because as I tell customers...

"Don't overthink it, it's flowers and beer, two things that make people happy!"

What an honor, truly. It is no secret that Debra Prinzing and I met many years ago when I was a preschool teacher to her son at the Seattle Infant Development Center in Seattle. Many years had gone by and we got reacquainted when I started listening to the podcast when I started my flower CSA in Portland. I was so pleasantly surprised to read Debra's book The 50 Mile Bouquet, because I was totally committed to featuring local flowers only, in addition to what we were growing in SE Portland.

Thanks Debra!
